About DenakkanaagaDenakkanaaga is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization which serves as the voice for Native Elders in the Doyon and Tanana Chiefs Conference regions of Interior Alaska.
Denakkanaaga is a Koyukon-Athabascan word meaning “Our People Speak.” Denakkanaaga acts on the Elders’ behalf, working to ensure that their concerns are addressed regarding such things as Native cultures, traditions and languages, subsistence and social issues. As the aging population grows within Interior Alaska, Denakkanaaga works with other organizations to maximize efforts to advocate for Native Elders. |
