Denakkanaaga Classes
Due to the pandemic Denakkanaaga has cancelled all gatherings and classes for the foreseeable future. We look forward to resuming these activities once it is safe to do so.
Beading Class
Denakkanaaga is pleased to hold a beading class for young Native adults in which Interior Alaska’s Native traditions and cultures are perpetuated by our elders. As a means of supporting and mentoring the next generation, Native elders teach various beading projects, such as beaded pouches, hair barrettes, keychains, coasters and earrings. The class is held each Monday afternoon from 2 to 4 pm at Denakkanaaga. Supplies are provided.
Please note that this class is for adults. Classes for Native youth are held on a special basis during the school year.
For more information please email info@denakkanaaga.org or call 907-451-3900.
